How does recycled fiber apparel help the earth?
Recycled cotton fibers do not require land use or intensive irrigation therefore no fertilizers or pesticides are needed.

How is a recycled apparel item manufactured?
- Step 1: Textile waste or clippings are collected from several pre-consumer venues: new cotton-knit cuttings, which have been discarded during the apparel cut and sew process, upholstery and trim fabric, yarn waste and industrial fibers.
- Step 2: Clippings are sorted by color and chopped into a fine linty material called “shoddy”.
- Step 3: Shoddy is then spun into a yarn that is used to produce recycled garment.
How do recycled garments eliminate waste?
The recycling process reduces incinerator and landfill use by reprocessing pre-consumer and post-consumer textile waste and recyclable PET plastic into consumer-ready garments.
